Boca Raton Homes

The foremost resort city on the North American continent

For years the name Boca Raton has piqued interest in the locals. When Spanish settlers first arrived at the area in 1895, they came up with the name Boca Raton or Boca de Ratones which stands for “The Rat’s Mouth.” Referring to its sharp rocky waters and rough jagged inlet, ships of early settlers faced hazards and damage when sailing into the city.

Boca Raton is home to some of the best beaches in all of Florida. Most famous for its pristine two-mile stretch of fluffy white sand and blue waters that are patrolled by lifeguards enjoy the surf and the sand on the Boca Raton coast.

If you are considering a move to Boca Raton, Florida then you have come to the right place. Prized for its small-town old Florida charm and luxurious living, Boca Raton could be just the place for you.

Boca Raton has become quite the hot spot for local and visiting families. I will show you the best places to go with your family:

Boca is famous for its pink architecture courtesy of one of our city’s biggest developers, Addison Mizner.

Not only has an ocean-themed water play section but tons of other outdoor entertainment options, including a carousel. If it gets too hot or starts raining, check out the indoor Sugar Sand Park Science Explorium or note when the next children’s show is playing at the Willow Theatre.

Between its ample aquariums and charming butterfly garden, Gumbo Limbo is a must-visit for nature lovers.

Red Reef Park is a hidden gem in Boca Raton. Located right on the Atlantic Ocean at 1500 North Ocean, it’s well worth your time to check out this park. Bring all your beach gear and settle in for a great day of sun and fun. Red Reef Park offers everything from swimming to fishing to snorkeling. In fact, if you’re into snorkeling, Red Reef is the best place in Boca Raton to do it.

  • South Inlet Park

This little park actually feels like your own private beach. There’s a small boardwalk that leads you through a foliage area straight out to the white sandy beach. We liked walking out to the end of the jetty and taking in the view. It’s really a pretty scene with the waves crashing into the rocks — definitely worthy of a few photos if you’re a camera bug

  • Deep sea fishing

For a fun day on the water, why not try deep-sea fishing?

A nice way to spend an afternoon is at the Boca Raton Museum of Art at Mizner. The museum offers its regular collection of various types of art including painting, sculpture, and photography, and they offer new exhibits all the time. They also have a cool outdoor sculpture garden that you can take a relaxing walkthrough.
